Around 2 years ago I made a song called Misery for a school project. A year later I decided to continue to explore the style of music that Misery followed, and I began writing more songs in a similar style. 3 more songs ended up being written yet would still not be released for another year. Over the past year I have constantly revisited each song to improve various aspects such as the EQing, the production, the mixing, re-recording the entire vocals. Every time I changed something I would think that I'm done, that I'm happy with the final product, but then I'd leave the songs for a few weeks, maybe months, and decide that they weren't done and something else needed to change. But finally, they are being released! Would I consider them perfect? No. But they are a marker to me of where I'm currently at with my musical abilities, with my writing, my performance and my production. And I think these songs show a huge improvement in my ability to play and produce.
